The Kaiserslautern Kingfish Swim Team heads full stroke into the 2004-2005 swim season.
Parents and swimmers prepare for what they hope will be a fourth-straight league-championship season.
Registration for the Kingfish swim camp is noon Monday at the Landstuhl Swimbad. Camp is Monday to Friday.
A swim clinic will be taught by the new Kingfish head coach, Bob Clinton, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Aug. 30 to Sep. 3 at the Baumholder base swimming pool. Clinic registration is 4 p.m. Aug. 27 at the Ramstein Community Center.
There will be a parents’ meeting and registration for the swim team season 7 p.m. Aug. 31 at the Ramstein Youth Center.
The Kingfish team is open to swimmers ages 6 to 19.
The Kaiserslautern Kingfish compete in the European Forces Swim League. The league is comprised of 18 teams in Germany, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Belgium, Spain and Italy.
This year’s season begins with the first team practice Sept. 7 and the first meet at home Sept. 25. The season runs through February.
The meet schedule includes six home meets and away meets in Heidelberg, Stuttgart, Belgium, Spain and The Netherlands.
The season will end with the EFSL Championships scheduled for mid-February at the Munich Olympic Pool.
