March 8
5 p.m.: A major traffic accident was reported in Landstuhl after a dependent failed to yield at a stop sign and struck a local national’s vehicle, causing disabling damage to both vehicles.


March 9
8:20 a.m.: A major traffic accident with injuries was reported on Landstuhl Post after a Soldier failed to yield and struck a dependent’s vehicle. Both individuals were transported to LRMC for medical attention.

March 10
9:23 a.m.: A 569th USFPS member observed a foreign national taking pictures of the Ramstein West ECP and notified authorities. The foreign national was detained and turned over to AFOSI.

March 11
6:59 p.m.: A dependent reported that someone was attempting to gain access to a school bus with a wrong pass. The suspect then retrieved a camera off a cement electrical junction box and departed the area.

6:59 p.m.: Larceny of government and private property was reported at Kaiserslautern Middle School after a dependent had his wallet stolen after he left it on top of a school locker.

9:49 p.m.: Damage to private property was reported after a local national witnessed an individual standing on the hood of the victim’s vehicle and kicking the windshield.

March 12
3:08 a.m.: An assault was reported at a bar in Kaiserslautern after a Soldier and an Airman were involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical when the Soldier struck the Airman in the head, causing him to fall onto a glass. The Airman was transported to the hospital for treatment and the Soldier was advised of his legal rights.

4 p.m.: An assault and possession of a controlled substance was reported at the KMCC after a dependent reported he was approached by five males who tried to sell him an illegal substance.

March 13
5:59 a.m.: An assault was reported in Kaiserslautern after an Air Force officer accidentally ran into a civilian. The civilian then pushed the officer and struck him in the face with a closed fist.

6:19 p.m.: Larceny of government and private property was reported in Mannheim after a Soldier fell asleep on a train. Upon departing the train, the Soldier noticed his wallet was missing from his jacket pocket.

March 14
2:58 a.m.: A drunken driver was reported in Landstuhl after Polizei conducted a routine traffic stop on a Solider detected alcohol on his breath.

Article 15 Actions
» Non-judicial punishment under Article 15, Uniform Code of Military Justice, was administered to a technical sergeant for violation of Article 92, dereliction of duty.  The punishment of reduction to staff sergeant, and suspended forfeiture of $1,482 pay for one month was imposed.

» Non-judicial punishment under Article 15, UCMJ, was administered to an Airman for violation of Article 86, Failure to go, Article 92, dereliction of duty, and Article 107, making a false official statement. The punishment of reduction to Airman basic, forfeiture of $723 pay for two months with one month suspended, 60 days restriction with 30 days suspended, and a reprimand was imposed.

» Non-judicial punishment under Article 15, UCMJ, was administered to a senior Airman for violation of Article 86, failure to go, and Article 92, dereliction of duty. The punishment of reduction to Airman, with reduction below Airman 1st class suspended, and a reprimand was imposed.

Courts-Martial
» A senior Airman was convicted in a summary court martial of violating Article 112a of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, using a controlled substance. Punishment was 14 days confinement and reduction to E-1.

» An Airman was convicted in a summary court martial of violating articles 112a and 134 of the UCMJ, using a controlled substance and using an intoxicating substance. Punishment was 21 days confinement and reduction to E-1.

» A staff sergeant was convicted in a general court martial of violating articles 107 and 121 of the UCMJ, making a false official statement and stealing basic allowance for housing. The sentence was a bad conduct discharge, confinement for 11 months and reduction to E-1.

» An Airman 1st class was convicted in a summary court martial of violating articles 92, 107, 109 and 134 of the UCMJ, failing to obey a lawful order, making a false official statement, damaging personal property, drunk and disorderly, and drunk conduct. The Airman was sentenced to confinement for 30 days and reduction to E-1.

» An Airman basic was convicted in a special court martial of violating Article 112a of the UCMJ, possessing and using a controlled substance. The Airman received a sentence of confinement for seven days, restriction to base for 50 days and a bad conduct discharge.

» An Airman basic was convicted in a special court martial of violating Article 112a of the UCMJ, possessing and using a controlled substance. The Airman received a sentence of confinement for 100 days, a $3,000 fine and a bad conduct discharge.

» An Air Force member was convicted in a special court martial of violating Article 112a of the UCMJ, using marijuana, hydrocodone and ecstasy. The member was sentenced to reduction to E-1, forfeiture of $964 for three months and 45 days confinement.

» A senior Airman was convicted in general court martial of violating Article 134 of the UCMJ, viewing child pornography. The member received a sentence of a bad conduct discharge, confinement for eight months and reduction to E-1.

» A master sergeant was acquitted in a special court martial of violating Article 112a of the UCMJ, using a controlled substance.
