March 22
9 a.m.: An unknown person traveling southbound on Bachstrasse attempted to turn right, but due to inattentive driving, the vehicle struck a dependent’s car. The driver fled the scene without exchanging information. The dependent complained of pain to the left knee but declined medical attention.

March 23
2:50 p.m.: An Air Force NCO reported an unattended child in a vehicle.

March 24
9:30 p.m.: A civilian reported a major traffic accident after his vehicle struck a concrete barrier. Polizei arrived on scene and, upon contact, detected a strong odor of alcohol. The civilian was released to security forces and advised of his legal rights.

10:55 p.m.: An Airman and his dependent were involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical when the dependent struck the Airman in the face with a closed fist. The dependent was advised of her legal rights.

March 25
6:21 p.m.: An AAFES employee reported larceny of AAFES property.  Investigation revealed two AAFES employees stole property from the shoppette. The individuals were advised of their legal rights.

March 26
5:46 p.m.: A local national’s vehicle struck an Air Force NCO’s vehicle after one driver failed to yield. The impact caused disabling damages to the front of both vehicles. The Air Force NCO complained of minor injuries to both knees.

March 27
1:12 p.m.:  Suspicious activity was reported by the perimeter fence on Ramstein. Four males in dark clothing were filming and photographing Ramstein. Upon arrival of security forces, the suspects fled the scene.

March 28
7:11 p.m.: A local national approached two Air Force members at two different locations claiming to be a U.S. education officer. The local national asked for identification. Upon refusal to answer any questions, the local national departed on foot.

UCMJ Actions
» The 2nd Air Support Operations Squadron commander administered non-judicial punishment under Article 15, Uniform Code of Military Justice, to a senior Airman for violation of Article 112a, use of a controlled substance. The commander imposed punishment of reduction to Airman first class, forfeiture of $975 pay for two months with one month suspended, and a reprimand.

» The 2nd Air Support Operations Squadron commander administered non-judicial punishment to a staff sergeant for violation of Article 112a, use of a controlled substance. The commander imposed punishment of reduction to senior Airman, forfeiture of $1,162 pay for two months with one month suspended, and a reprimand.

» The 21st Operations Group Det 4 commander administered non-judicial punishment to a senior Airman for violation of Article 107, making a false official statement. The commander imposed punishment of forfeiture of $520 pay for one month, 14 days extra duty with seven days suspended, and a reprimand.

» The 21st Operational Weather Squadron commander administered non-judicial punishment to an Airman first class for violation of Article 111, drunk operation of a vehicle. The commander imposed punishment of reduction to Airman, 14 days extra duty, and a reprimand.

» The 569th U.S. Forces Police Squadron commander administered non-judicial punishment to an Airman first class for Article 92, dereliction of duty. The commander imposed punishment of reduction to Airman, suspended forfeitures of $250 pay for two months, and a reprimand.

» The 569th U.S. Forces Police Squadron Commander administered non-judicial punishment to an Airman first class for Article 113, sleeping on post. The commander imposed punishment of reduction to Airman, suspended forfeitures of $822 pay for two months, and a reprimand.

» The 569th U.S. Forces Police Squadron commander administered non-judicial punishment to an Airman first class for Article 92, failure to obey.  The commander imposed punishment of reduction to Airman basic, suspended forfeitures of $733 pay for two  months, and a reprimand.

» The 86th Security Forces Squadron commander administered non-judicial punishment to an Airman first class for Article 92, dereliction of duty. The commander imposed punishment of suspended reduction to Airman, 45 days extra duty, and a reprimand.
