KMC comes alive with ‘The Sound of Music’

The U.S. Army Garrison Kaiserslautern Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation KMC Onstage’s current production “The Sound of Music” is being played at KMC Onstage, Bldg. 3232 on Kleber Kaserne.

The three-hour production consists of two casts of “von Trapp children.” “The Sound of Music” is a musical with music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II and a book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse. It is based on the memoir of Maria von Trapp, “The Story of the Trapp Family Singers.” Performances are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays. The production will be performed on weekends leading up to the holidays, taking a two-week holiday break, and then will continue until Jan. 17.
