KMC students mean business

The Department of Defense Dependent Schools-Europe chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America is seeking workshop presenters for the 2006 Fall Leadership Conference.

The event is Wednesday, Nov. 8, at The Village Pavilion, in Patrick Henry Village, Heidelberg. The workshops will be offered between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., with a lunch break during the day.

Future Business Leaders of America is a non-profit education association of students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields.
The FBLA mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.

Business teachers, advisors, administrators and business professionals throughout the community help to guide and motivate local FBLA chapters.
More than 25 schools from Bahrain, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Holland, England, Spain and Portugal participate in DODDS-Europe FBLA activities.
Approximately 250 students in grades 6-12 are expected to attend the conference.

Conference organizers are  looking for about 20 presenters to deliver 45-minute workshop presentations relating to the following subjects: business relationships, business technology, character development, college life, college scholarships, communication skills, fundraising, global perspectives, internships, leadership, managing finances, marketing, networking, public speaking, time management, Web page design, world issues and all other related business topics.
