Around $102,000 in scholarships was recently awarded to KMC students and military spouses during a ceremony held at the Hercules Theater on Ramstein.
A portion of the 2011 Ramstein Welfare Bazaar’s net proceeds went toward the overall $102,000.
The Ramstein Officers’ Spouses Club has planned, organized and executed the Ramstein Welfare Bazaar for the past 47 years to benefit the KMC.
Each year, a significant portion of bazaar proceeds goes toward KMC scholarships, which are awarded to high school seniors, university students and military spouse students.
Funds for scholarships were also contributed by the Ramstein Enlisted Spouses Association and the Kaiserslautern Landstuhl Spouses Association.

The 2012 Ramstein Welfare Bazaar committee has begun planning for this year’s bazaar, which will take place from Sept. 13 to 16. The bazaar committee is accepting applications for volunteers on their website, www.ramsteinbazaar.org. You can also “like” them on Facebook at “2012 Ramstein Welfare Bazaar.”
