Landstuhl elementary students were invited to compete at the international Geo Bee in London in May. James Woods, a third grader, and Liam Pope, a fifth-grader, were two of the three Americans who competed in this competition held at the City School of London. Several hundred students in grades three through five competed in the Geo Bee. While both students represented DODEA very well, showcasing their extensive geography knowledge, they did not make it through all the rounds of competition to make the finals. According to James, “The questions were difficult, but I am eager to study and I will be ready for next year!”
