Last flower show

***image1***The Kaiserslautern Garden Fair is still open through Oct. 29. The final flower show of the season under the motto, “Final whistle — Autumn color impressions,” features fall fruit, asters and dahlias. It starts 2 p.m. Sunday in the flower hall. The Federation of Horticulture Clubs Saarland-Rheinland-Pfalz will present a fruit display with historical types of fruit. Visitors also can get to know about 300 sorts of apples, pears and quinces. Fruit experts will be available to answer questions. Visitors can taste and buy fruit schnaps. Three young musicians will present a classic concert at 3 p.m. with works by Liszt, Mozart and Chopin. Garden fair hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets cost €6 for adults and €3 for children.
