LRMC wins flag football championship, 32-7

***image1***Landstuhl Regional Medical Center wins the 415th Base Support Battalion’s Unit-Level Flag Football Championship by defeating 1st Transportation Movement Control Agency, 32-7, Oct. 21 at the Rhine Ordnance Barracks sports field.

LRMC struck first and never looked back. Scoring touchdowns for LRMC were Carlos Martin, Frank Head, Calvin Perkins and Byron Wells.

Saroglou said his rushers did a great job preventing the 1st TMCA’s quarterbacks from having too much time to make a decent play and his defense in general did a good job preventing only a few first down opportunities.

***image2***“The score was a big misrepresentation of our team’s ability,” said 1st TMCA Coach Claude Hammond. “In the last half, we moved the ball very well.”

Both teams advanced to the 26th Area Support Group’s Unit-Level Championship today to Sunday at Patton Barracks, Heidelberg.
