Department of Defense Dependents Schools students are once again supporting the Combined Federal Campaign-Overseas by showcasing their video and film skills.
Nearly a dozen high schools and middle schools across the European and Pacific Commands are participating in the campaign’s second annual public service announcement contest to encourage others to give during the Oct. 4 to Dec. 3 campaign period.
You can vote for your favorite PSA until Oct. 25 via the CFC-O Web site at www.cfcoverseas.org or by playlist on YouTube.
The top three winners will be announced Oct 26. The submissions with the most votes will air on the Armed Forces Network next month.
Students at Kadena American High School in Okinawa, Japan, won the competition last year.
The campaign features more than 2,300 charities from which contributors can choose a cause that matches their individual passion. The CFC-O offers contributors the opportunity to give using the traditional paper Pledge Card or through e-Giving at www.cfcoverseas.org.
Contributors who are interested in supporting their local overseas military communities can make a contribution to the Family Support and Youth Programs. Donations to FSYP are returned to the installation to support quality of life programs for overseas servicemembers and their families.
