Grapes and Graffiti at Kazabra Club: Join us for an unforgettable evening of friends and painting, hosted by the Arts and Crafts Center at Kazabra Club (Vogelweh, Bldg.2 057). This adult only gathering is open to ID cardholders age 18 and above. Absolutely no painting skills are required; you will be guided throughout the whole process! $35 per person covers all supplies for painting. Women’s World Cup Soccer at Halftime Sports Bar & Wings: Join your friends at Halftime Sports Bar & Wings for the eighth edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup in France. Games started June 7 with the final game on July 7. Watch the top 24 women’s teams battle it out for the title of World Cup Champion. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee Auditions: Your chance to join the cast of this hysterical and quirky play will be June 24 & 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the KMC OnStage Theater on Kleber Kaserne. Poetry Slam: Let your creative speech and thoughts flow at the Java Café on ROB July 19 from 7 to 9 p.m. with a Poetry Slam. This event is being put together in cooperation with Java Café, KMC OnStage and the BOSS program. Preregistration can secure you with a spot but walk-ins will also be welcome. If you want to get a head start and or some pointers, join a free Poetry Workshop at the ROB Java July 15 at 6 p.m. This free event is open to ID cardholders ages 18+. KMC OnStage Summer Drama Camps: This class is for the blossoming actor who wants to learn about singing, acting, dancing and theater productions. We will use theatre games to build knowledge, skills, and confidence on stage and in life. We will also cover the basics of how to move on stage, theatre etiquette, vocal projection, breathing, group improv and working within an ensemble. There will be sessions on dance and singing as well. Camp is from July 22 to Aug 2. The class will culminate with a final performance variety show on Aug 9. Classes will be held at the KMC Onstage on Kleber Kaserne, BLDG 3232. The camp is open to ages 6-18. It is $75 to participate. Summer Reading Celebration: Celebrate the Summer Reading program with the Rheinland-Pfalz Library. On July 26, there will be bouncy castles, crafts and activities available. Jazz Night at Armstrong’s Club: On July 27, relax and let the music take you on a ride at Armstrong’s Club Jazz Night. Enjoy Smooth Jazz, Funky Dance Music and dynamic R&B tunes performed by a live jazz band. Bazaar on the Rock: For the first time ever we are bringing the bazaar experience to Baumholder! Mark your calendars for Aug. 23 to 24 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Aug. 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hall of Champions on Smith Barracks, Bldg. 8105. Celebrate World Watercolor Month with the Arts & Crafts Center: July is World Watercolor Month and the Arts & Crafts Center on Smith Barracks has a whole month of amazing activities planned to celebrate! During normal business hours you can simply walk in and for $4 each, create a fan, lantern, boat or pinwheel project from painting to assembly. Watercolor painting projects available are butterfly, zebra, bird, leaf flowers and sea animals. Want to make it a family event? July 18 & 19 will be Family Night where the whole family (up to four people) will get to pick a project each for $12. Hogwarts Party at the Baumholder Library: Summer might be coming but we are not ready to stop having fun!
