» Comedy Show at Armstrong’s Club: Join Armstrong’s Club for a night of fun and laughter at the Comedy Show on July 29, 9 p.m. Comedians include: I am prelow, Johnny Hollywood, and Vince D. Doors open at 7 p.m. Food and drinks are available for purchase. Open to ID cardholders and their guests, ages 18 and older. Cover charge: $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Tickets may be purchased online via WebTrac, at Armstrong’s Club or at any Java Café in the Kaiserslautern Military Community. » Dads 101: A Crash Course for New and Expecting Dads meets from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. the third Tuesday of every month. This is a class for dads by dads. Learn from experienced dads in this informational class. Topics include preparing for fatherhood, surviving the first few weeks, caring for your new baby, ways to keep your baby safe and more. » KMC-PFLAG (a support group for LGBTQ youth, families, friends and allies) meets from 7 to 9 p.m. the second Wednesday of every month. KMC-PFLAG offers a fun, safe and welcoming environment for those who may be coming out, those who are seeking advice on supporting an LGBTQ friend or family member, and those who have experience to share with others. » Ramstein Catholic Faith Community Pastoral Coordinator: The contractor shall provide all personnel, labor, materials, and transportation to provide non-personal service in support of the Ramstein Chapel for the Ramstein Faith Community Pastoral Coordinator as located in the Kaiserslautern Military Community. The Coordinator is responsible for overall calendar development and programming, budget development and tracking, data management, publicity for all ministries and the Liturgies of the CFC. The Coordinator must have experience working with Catholic liturgical law and sacramental records and be able to express clearly the detail of basic Catholic doctrine and liturgical law. Documented evidence of the following is preferred but not required: a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Information Management and two years of experience in management, or five years’ experience in administration and personnel management. The contractor is subject to criminal history background checks and will accomplish the Ramstein Chapel Contractor in-processing checklist upon award of the contract. The Request for Proposal and bid package can be picked up from the North Chapel from 23 June 2017 – 7 July 2017 from 0730-1600. Bids are due by 1600 on July 7. Meetings
» Ramstein Toastmasers will meet every first, second and third Tuesday of the month from noon to 1 p.m. at the Ramstein South Chapel, Bldg. 2403. Individuals who want to develop their public speaking skills, are welcome to visit the meetings free of charge. Participants can prepare for board interviews, promotional ceremoies or leadership roles. Public speaking skills or aspirationscan be advanced and enhanced. » An Exceptional Family Member Program playgroup meets from 10 a.m. to noon the first and third Wednesday of every month at Vogelweh Community Center, Bldg. 2059. This playgroup is a great way for parents of toddlers to get to know each other and teach their children to interact with others. Open to non-school-aged children with special needs. » BRS training: Service members from all branches of service and their spouses can attend Blended Retirement System training offered by the Airman and Family Readiness Center. It is highly recommended that attendees complete the online Opt-In Training prior to attending to have a better understanding of material being presented. Opt-In Training is located on Joint Knowledge Online website and ADLS, Blended Retirement System Opt-In, Course number ZZ133146, under Selected Force. BRS training will be held at the Hercules Theater on Ramstein the following times and dates: 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday and July 7; 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. July 11; 1 to 3 p.m. July 19; and 10 a.m. to noon July 25. Sign-up is not required.

» Comfort Measures and Relaxation for Childbirth takes place from 1 to 3 p.m. the first Thursday of every month at the Army Community Service building on Clinic Kaserne, Bldg. 8747. Take part in this interactive class. Bring a partner or friend, water and wear comfortable clothes. Topics include: massage and acupressure, positions for labor, use of tools such as the birth ball, meditation and focusing techniques, aromatherapy, and hot and cold therapies. Registration required. » Canoeing: Mosel Valley: Canoe down the Mosel River from the town of Kesten to Bern-kastel-Kues, passing steeply sloped vineyards and quaint castles as we make our way downstream. After we get off the river we will make a stop at a local winery for some wine tasting. The shops and stores in Bernkastel-Kues will be open. Children may attend but must be at least 5 years old and able to swim on their own. Upcoming trip dates are July 1, Aug 6, Sept 10. » Comic-Con Germany in Stuttgart: On July 1, join Baumholder Outdoor Recreation on a day trip to the COMIC-CON Germany in Stuttgart. You will find comic artists and publishing houses, anime, cosplay, exhibits, walking acts, movie props, and more. Get autographs from our Hollywood actors, listen to them on stage or get your photo taken with them in our photo studio. Cost: $85 per adult, $65 per child age 6-12. Price includes entrance fee and transportation. » ATV and UTV Tours with Outdoor Recreation: Explore the great outdoors with Baumholder Outdoor Recreation on an ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) or UTV (Utility Task Vehicle)! Taking an ATV or UTV tour is a great way to see beautiful scenery while having fun. Riding with a guide who knows where to go can make the experience even better! Tours can be tailored to your personal preference. You can go on winding back roads through scenic villages and country sites as well as on relaxing nature rides along local rivers to some of the greatest sites in the area. » Paint Your Own Ceramic at Baumholder Arts and Crafts Center: Looking to have some fun and get creative? Visit the Ceramics Room at Baumholder Arts and Crafts to paint your own masterpiece. Raw ceramics are priced between $5 and $20, and painting and firing them in our kiln is included in the price. » Summer Safety Day at the Automotive Skills Center: Performing a basic car safety inspection is proven to help extend the life of your vehicle and prevent possible performance issues while driving. On June 7th, Family and MWR is offering you an opportunity to receive a FREE vehicle safety check to inform you of possible repairs or maintenance that your vehicle may need in preparation for Summer road trips. All you pay is the bay fee, which is $6 per hour. Safety check includes: tire pressure, tire tread and spare tire inflation, engine fluid levels, all exterior lights in working condition, first aid kits, safety vest, and warning triangles, license plates properly mounted, horn properly working, window shield cracks and head light cracks and much more… If your vehicle requires necessary repairs, our mechanics will notify you on the spot and recommend setting up an appointment to have them fixed.
