» The city of Kirchheimbolanden and Lebenshilfe Westpfalz, an association for disabled people, will present “Encounters in Arts,” a music and theater fest with performances by magicians, dancers, musicians and circus artists starting at 6 p.m. July 7 and 2 p.m. July 8 in the Schlossgarten (Palace Garden) in Kirchheimbolanden. The band The Beez will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a concert at 7:15 p.m. July 8. » Ramstein Catholic Faith Community Pastoral Coordinator: The contractor shall provide all personnel, labor, materials, and transportation to provide non-personal service in support of the Ramstein Chapel for the Ramstein Faith Community Pastoral Coordinator as located in the Kaiserslautern Military Community. The Coordinator is responsible for overall calendar development and programming, budget development and tracking, data management, publicity for all ministries and the Liturgies of the CFC. The Coordinator must have experience working with Catholic liturgical law and sacramental records and be able to express clearly the detail of basic Catholic doctrine and liturgical law. Documented evidence of the following is preferred but not required: a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Information Management and two years of experience in management, or five years’ experience in administration and personnel management. The contractor is subject to criminal history background checks and will accomplish the Ramstein Chapel Contractor in-processing checklist upon award of the contract. The Request for Proposal and bid package can be picked up from the North Chapel from 23 June 2017 – 7 July 2017 from 0730-1600. Bids are due by 1600 on July 7. Vacation Bible Schools
» VBS will be held 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. July 10 to 14 at the Vogelweh Chapel. Registration is now open for kids ages 5 to 11. They must have completed kindergarten to attend. It is an evening children’s program to help kids enliven their faith with games, story, food and prayer. Come and learn in a fun environment; play games and do crafts while learning. » BRS training: Service members from all branches of service and their spouses can attend Blended Retirement System training offered by the Airman and Family Readiness Center. It is highly recommended that attendees complete the online Opt-In Training prior to attending to have a better understanding of material being presented. Opt-In Training is located on Joint Knowledge Online website and ADLS, Blended Retirement System Opt-In, Course number ZZ133146, under Selected Force. BRS training will be held at the Hercules Theater on Ramstein the following times and dates: 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. July 7; 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. July 11; 1 to 3 p.m. July 19; and 10 a.m. to noon July 25. Sign-up is not required.
