Wacky Fun Run/Walk 5K: Kaiserslautern High School Wacky Fun Run/Walk 5K takes place Saturday at the Rhine Ordnance Barracks Building 237. Registration starts at 8 a.m. and the run starts at 9:30 a.m. Cost to participate is $10 for ages 12+.
William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing: Experience the original rom-com, live at KMC OnStage! This is Shakespearean classic, full of fast romance, clever hijinks, and a whole lot of happily ever afters. Rumors and evesdropping result in chaotic twist and turns for two couples, as Benedick and Beatrice are tricked into confessing their love for each other, and Claudio is tricked into rejecting his love, Hero, at the altar on the erroneous belief that she has been unfaithful. It takes twists, turns, and teamwork to unravel the truth, but Shakespeare ensures that all is well in the end and the audience is rewarded with an epic double wedding scene. KMC OnStage Auditions: Contagious Comedies — An Evening of One Acts: On April 8 to 9 from 6 to 8 p.m., audition to be a part of the one-act shows that make KMC OnStage the Army’s most award-winning community theater program. This spring evening of one acts will focus on the lighter side of theater, with a line-up entirely comprised of knee-slapping, laugh-out-loud comedies. KMC OnStage Presents Freckleface Strawberry: Bring the whole family out to enjoy the musical that is based on the cherished New York Times best-selling book by Julianne Moore. With the help of her lovable classmates who range from everything from a talented ballerina, the class ditz, even the cute jock boy, Freckleface learns that everyone has their unique thing and that is what makes everyone special. Mother’s Day Balloon Flowers & Balloon Flower Bouquets: Balloon flowers and balloon flower bouquets can be ordered from the Arts & Crafts Center for a unique Mother’s Day gift. Choose a single flower or from a variety of balloon flower bouquets. Customers may pre-order balloons/balloon bouquets and have them delivered on Mother’s Day. Orders must be placed by May 7 for delivery. Deliveries will be made between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and can only be made to housing units on Smith Barracks and Wetzel Kaserne. League Night at Strikers Bowling Center: Every Friday from 6 p.m. to close, Strikers Bowling Center host a competitive bowling league. Warrior Zone: What do you know about the Warrior Zone? The Warrior Zone is a facility that features a plethora of free services for Soldiers. The Warrior Zone hosts an array of events, including video gaming tournaments and movie marathons. Services include: free Wi-Fi and computer usage, free usage of XBOX 360, Ps3 and Wii console and games, free movie usage on HD equipment and more.
