» A German-American friendship fest will take place Saturday through May 22 on Campbell Barracks, Roemerstrasse in Heidelberg. The event features rides, games, music and food specialties.
» The spring-summer Special Olympics will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 3 at the Southside Fitness Center track and field on Ramstein. The Special Olympics is an international program of athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. The event holds a variety of Olympic-type sporting events, giving all participants the opportunity to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage and experience the joy by participating in events with other Special Olympic athletes in the community. Come out and support the 80 to 150 suspected competing participants.
» Shop until you drop at the Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Summer Bazaar June 3 through 5. The bazaar features a large variety of European vendors selling treasures, paintings, jewelry, wine and much more. Food and beverages will be available on site. » Comedy show: June 18. Come out to Armstrong’s Club for a night of fun and laughter at the comedy show. This event will feature host Lee Marvin Adams and comedians Jason Thompson and Munchie.
