» A decadent Thanksgiving Day meal, hosted by Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hilltop Café dining facility. Join the LRMC team for your all holiday favorite main dishes, including roast turkey, honey glazed ham or beef roast with au jus. Pile on the candied sweet potatoes, green bean casserole and cornbread dressing, then finish it off with sweet potato, pecan or pumpkin pie. Cost is $6.80 for the dependents of service members E-4 and below and $9.05 all others.

» Volunteers are needed for the Air Force Association’s gift-wrapping fundraiser Nov. 25 at the Kaiserslautern Military Community Center. All proceeds will go towards the Combined Federal Campaign. » A free clothing and shoe bazaar for local refugees, hosted by the Jugendbuero in Ramstein Village, will be held Dec. 9. Donations of used or new winter clothing, shoes and blankets can be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 5 through 8 at the Jugenbuero, Am Neuen Markt 4, Ramstein Village.

» Open auditions for “Legally Blonde: The Musical” will be held at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 28 and 29. This fun show is based on the novel and film of the same name. » The Ramstein Chapel is accepting bids for the Ramstein Catholic religious education coordinator contract position through Monday; today is the last day to pick up bid packages. The contractor shall provide all personnel, labor, materials and transportation to provide nonpersonal service in support of the Ramstein Chapel for the Ramstein Catholic religious education director for grades six through eight and confirmation as located in the KMC. The contractor shall serve as the coordinator, teacher, facilitator and organizer of the religious education program. Documented evidence of the following is preferred but not required: a bachelor’s degree in theological studies or two years teaching experience in a Catholic religious education program. If not already an archdiocese for the Military Services Certified Catechist, the applicant will complete this certification within six months of accepting the contract. The bidder is subject to criminal history background checks and must complete a Child Care National Agency Check and Inquiries and Installation Records Check. The request for proposal and bid package can be picked up from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today at the Ramstein North Chapel. Last day to submit applications is 4 p.m. Monday. Interviews will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Ramstein North Chapel conference room. The contract will be awarded based on best value. Support Groups

» Baby Bumps will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday and Nov. 30 at Landstuhl Community Club, Bldg. 3780. Join the New Parent Support Program for this socialize-and-learn series for expecting women. This two-part class is taught by labor and delivery and New Parent Support Program registered nurses. Classes and Training

» CARE Team training will take place from 2 to 3:30 p.m. today on Kleber Kaserne, Bldg. 3210. This class provides information on the components of the CARE Team and its responsibilities in the event of an activation of the team. Casualty operations information consists of the types of casualties and key players, process of notification and assistance provided to the survivor. » Sponsorship training will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday on Kleber Kaserne, Bldg. 3210. This course will help you fulfill the role as a sponsor for incoming personnel. Units sending students to training are required to pre-register with Army Community Service to ensure that a unit-specific sign-in roster is available. Baumholder Events

» Wiggles and Giggles meets from 1 to 3 p.m. every Monday and 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. every Wednesday at the Army Community Service building on Clinic Kaserne, Bldg. 8747. Parents with children ages 5 and under are invited to come and play. This Family Advocacy Program playgroup is a great way to make new friends and learn more about the community. » The Book Buddies program takes place from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month. The program helps children improve their literacy skills by teaming up with a dog to read books.
