» As part of their ongoing series on entrepreneurship, the Atlantic Academy Rheinland-Pfalz, in cooperation with the U.S. Consulate General Frankfurt, the American-German Business Club Kaiserslautern and the Wirtschaftsfoerderung Kaiserslautern, will sponsor the next installment of the series from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the Business Innovation Center, Trippstadter Strasse 110, 67663 Kaiserslautern. The topic of the luncheon will be “How Political Decisions and International Agreements Affect Our Life and Business.” Heinz Seiller will discuss the implications that international agreements and politics can have on a local business. There will also be a Q-and-A session. Admission to this event is free. Participants should bring their own lunch.
» Join the Army Community Service Family Advocacy Program for the Purple Gala to raise awareness about domestic violence. This year’s theme is “All people working together can end domestic abuse.” Speak up and be part of the solution. The event will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Oct. 21 at Armstrong’s Club on Vogelweh Housing, Bldg. 1036. Come together for a great cause, hear inspirational speeches by local representatives and wear purple to promote domestic violence awareness. Semiformal dress is required, no military uniforms.
