Civil engineers’ corner
A construction contractor will be installing a new heat line under California Avenue on the west side of Donnelly Park from Monday until Nov. 13.
The project will be split into three phases and will involve some lane and street closures. Phase 3 will occur from Oct. 6 until Nov. 13 and will block all the parking spaces on the west side of Donnelly Park. Donnelly Park users should use the other available parking lots, such as the east side or at Bldg. 1023.

First sergeants’ corner
Many questions and concerns have risen about the Air Force blue lightweight jacket since we have gone to wearing the service uniform Mondays.
The lightweight jacket is an indoor and outdoor garment. It has to be zipped up at least halfway. The jacket is not authorized for wear when the service dress uniform is designated or more appropriate. You may wear the jacket over pullover and cardigan sweaters, but the sweater should not be exposed. As a safety precaution, wear a reflective belt
during the hours of darkness, reduced visibility and/or inclement weather with all uniforms.
