Last month, the Enlisted Force Structure, 36-2618 (“The Little Brown Book”), received a facelift.
Although the previous edition was fundamentally sound in enlisted core doctrine, this new version captures the essence of Air Force leadership’s desire for continuous improvement.
Included in the current Enlisted Force Structure is “The Airman’s Creed” and the Air Force Institutional Competencies.
But, fundamentally, this version still provides the essentials needed to guide our young Airmen down a consistent path, and it sets the standards for all enlisted leaders to live by as we lead our subordinates deeper into the 21st century.
