Effective immediately, all Air Mobility Command-owned and operated terminals will comply with screening changes implemented by the Transportation Security Administration.
TSA, in cooperation with airlines and other authorities, has expanded security requirements. Specifically, they prohibit passengers from carrying any liquids or gels, including beverages, hair gels, and lotions on board aircraft. Exceptions include:
• Baby formula, milk or juices if a baby or small child is traveling with adults
• Prescription medicine, when labeled with the name shown on the passenger’s tickets
• Insulin and other essential non-prescription medicines in original packaging
Travelers should anticipate additional security measures at all airports. Furthermore, United Kingdom passengers traveling to the United States will be more extensively screened. TSA continues to evaluate threats and provide updates as necessary.
The TSA Web site, www.tsa.gov, will show updates and changes. This information is necessary for all personnel, including Department of Defense travelers. Terminal agents are expected to provide exceptional customer service while performing their security duties. (Courtesy of AMC HQ)
