Order of Military Medical Merit presented to allied partners

RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany – U.S. Army Col. (Dr.) Scott Rankin (center), commander of Dental Health Command Europe, presented the U.S. Army Order of Military Medical Merit (O2M3) award to German Army Col. Christoph Hemme (left) and British Col. David Willey (right) during the Dental Health Command Birthday Ball held recently at the Ramstein Officers Club.

According to Col. Rankin, “Col. Hemme and Col. Willey are great allied partners and have made significant contributions to the Army Medical Department over the course of their distinguished military careers.”

Founded in 1982 as a non-profit organization, the Order of Military Medical Merit cultivates camaraderie among U.S. Army Medical Department personnel and allied partners across the globe. The O2M3 recognizes military and civilian personnel who demonstrate high integrity and moral character, are in the top 10 percent of their Corps and field, have excelled professionally in the Army Medical Department for at least 15 years, contributed selflessly, and enhanced Army Medicine.
