German Fishing Course
Jan. 12 to 13, 26 to 27, Feb. 2 to 3, 23 to 24, Mar 2 to 3, 16 to 17
Earn your permit to apply for and receive your German fishing license. This course is offered in three different sessions for your convenience. Each session is two weekends long. Register in advance with Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation. Students must be able to attend full session in order to graduate. Classes are held in the basement of building 3213 on Kleber Kaserne. Cost is $60 per individual or $100 per family

Ski Metz, France

Are your legs ready for Alps ski season? Neither are ours — join us for a trip to the indoor snowfield in Metz, France. Enjoy at least two hours on the indoor slopes to prepare yourself for the upcoming ski and snowboard season! Half price ski/snowboard equipment rental is available to participants during normal fitting hours. Cost: $35, Ages: All

Movement, safety, techniques, training, grading systems, and where to climb in our area both indoors and outdoors will all be covered and more in this comprehensive introduction. A perfect class to kick off the New Year with a new interest and new community to climb with. No previous experience necessary; belay certification not included and not required. Family Climbing Day
Every Friday
Climbing provides a fun and exciting way to get some exercise for the whole family! Climbing can begin at just two years of age, but belayers must be 16 years or older and complete our belay class. Belayer not required; we have automatic belay stations and bouldering as an option as well! Cost: $4 per climber, Ages: All

Belay class
Every Thursday, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Jan. 13, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Learn the basics of knot tying, harness fitting, climbing equipment, commands and proper belay techniques at ODR’s indoor rock wall. After successful completion of the class, you will be able to test for your belay certification card, making you eligible to belay at the Ramstein indoor rock wall without supervision. Cost: $25, Ages: 16+

Do you already have previous experience belaying? If you are already competent at both belaying and climbing, you may skip the belay class and “test out” in the 15 minutes after every belay class.

Snowboard & Ski Express St. Anton

The Ski Express bus will be rolling to some of the most well-known ski areas in Europe.
