Raiders enjoy a Homecoming victory

***image3***The Kaiserslautern Raiders defeated the Lakenheath Lancers, 41-0 for their homecoming game Oct. 6.

Kaiserslautern American High School senior Jordan Dodgen caught two passes for touchdowns and also intercepted the ball for a third TD. KAHS senior Josiah Baldwin scored a touchdown, and junior Khairi Smith had a 27-yard touchdown run. Senior Niko Gazzale added to the score with four extra points from field goals and there was a two-point conversion by junior Russell Bryant.

Quarterback Thomas Bolton,  junior,  completed 14 out of 29 passes for a total of 284 passing yards and he also scored the last touchdown with a 4- yard quarterback sneak. On the defensive side, senior Marcos Velazquez was the leading tackler with 10 unassisted tackles. Senior Brian Akin, senior Nik Yocum, junior Russell Bryant and junior Anthony Perry each had a fumble recovery adding to the Raider victory.
