Ramstein celebrates German-American Fair

Next weekend the German-American friendship will be celebrated with a big fair. The fair takes place at John-F.-Kennedy-Platz in the center of Ramstein. A large variety of food and beverages will be offered, as well as culinary specialties from both countries.
Opening times of the booths are Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. until midnight and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. After the opening ceremony Friday at 6 p.m. the band “Carpe Diem Unerhört” entertains the festival guests. From 8:30 p.m. the entertainment band “The Jomtones” takes over.
The program continues on Saturday from 6 p.m. with the USAFE jazz band “The Ambassadors.” Saturday evening from 8:30 p.m. the performance of the “Night Live Band” guarantees great entertainment.
A family program including musical performances is scheduled for Sunday. It starts with a performance of the brass band “Kolping Kapelle Kindsbach” at 11:30 a.m. From 2:15 p.m. the brass and percussion marching band “Guggenmusik Phoenixkrechzer” with their colorful and fancy costumes will be the eye catcher at the square.
From 3 p.m. the country band “Lunchbox” takes over.
Sunday afternoon the “Window to Rheinland-Pfalz” information center offers a guided walking tour with information in English through the town center of Ramstein. Meeting point for the tour is in front of the stage at 2 p.m. The tour takes approx. 90 minutes.
“Tante Lilly” entertains the youngest visitors with face painting and balloon twisting. Walking acts like the lion, Ramstein’s city mascot, will be there posing for photos. Bull riding will be available all three event days. A batting cage to practice baseball is set up as well.
Great fun is guaranteed for the whole family. Admission is free. The city of Ramstein-Miesenbach is looking forward to your visit.
