WASHINGTON — The chief of Air Force Warfighting Integration and Chief Information Officer recently announced the names of four Ramstein Airmen who won 2009 Air Force Communications and Information Awards.
“The superb quality of the nominations we received confirm our Airmen continue to excel in conducting warfighter missions around the world,” Lt. Gen. William T. Lord said. “We had 399 nominees competing for these awards, and we extend a hearty congratulations to each and every one of them. The culmination of their efforts to contribute to and support vital Air Force missions and operations led to their selection as the very best of an outstanding group of officers, enlisted and civilians.”
Award winners will be recognized at a ceremony held May 13 at Joint Base Andrews, Md.
Assigned to the 86th Communications Squadron, the Ramstein winners are:
• Outstanding Company Grade Officer: Capt. Amy T. Stahler, Communications and Information
• Outstanding Information Assurance Program Manager: Master Sgt. Cynthia G. Peterson, Communications and Information
• Communications and Information Outstanding Information: Tech. Sgt. Karen E. O’Garro-Thompson, Management NCO
• Communications and Information Outstanding Civilian Technician: Harald Jacubeit
