***image1***The Ramstein Royals boy’s tennis team edged the Lakenheath Lancers 5-4 on Oct. 7.

Ramstein took the overall match by winning two out of three doubles
matches after the schools split 3-3 in their six singles matches.
Singles winners for Ramstein were Alex Chebaro over Mitchell Petters
9-7, Jorell Wilson over Alex Castelain 8-2 and David Bricker over
Julian Belisario 8-1.

Doubles winners for Ramstein were Matt Puchta and Chebaro over 
Logan Snow and Petters 9-7, and David Modlin and Brian Kelley over Jay
Rogers and Xavier Stephens 8-1.

Ramstein (girls) 6, Lakenheath 3
The Ramstein Lady Royals continued their perfect season by winning five
out of six singles matches and winning one of three doubles matches.

Singles match winners for Ramstein were Alison Luthman over Kallie
Heldberg 6-4, 6-4, Megan Jones over Kay Lichtenberger 8-6, Maggie Curry
over Jenna Harris 8-1, Brittany Godwin over Jackie Sullivan 8-0 and
Catherine Brennan over Christy Mercer 8-6.

The only doubles winners for Ramstein were Curry and Jones over Lichtenberger and Harris 6-2, 6-0.

K-Town (boys) 7, Würzburg 2
The Kaiserslautern boy’s tennis team won two of the three matches played against Würzburg Oct. 7.

Deven Smith def. Dean Danagan 8-4 and John Frank def. Joseh DeLeon 8-0.
Five of the remaining six matches were forfeited by Würzburg.

K-Town (girls) 8, Würzburg 1
The Kaiserslautern Lady Raiders tennis team won five out of six singles
matches and swept all three doubles matches for a victory against
Würzburg Oct. 7.

Singles match winners for the Raiders were Abigail Halpin, Jessica Goforth, Ashley Enciso, Ashley Meeder and Christine Jensen.

Doubles winners were the teams of Halpin and Goforth, Meeder and Racheal Seachrisand Eryn Mertins and Molly Halpin.

Football
Ramstein 45, Lakenheath 6
The Royals came out fired up for their homecoming game Saturday and
they improved to 4-0 on the season with a blowout of Lakenheath..

Ramstein dominated in the running game as running backs Cyril Borden
and Greg Anderson combined for 25 carries, 184 yards and two touchdowns.

Ramstein also got receiving touchdowns from Scotty Jardine and Andre
Murray and Ste’phan James picked off two passes, returning one for a
score.

Defensively the Royal were led by Marcus Cherry, who recorded 10 tackles and forced a fumble.

Cross Country
Ramstein (boys) 23, BFA 56, Kaiserslautern 80
The Royals showed the depth of their cross country squad during their
meet against the Black Forest Academy and Kaiserslautern Saturday.

Ramstein was at a disadvantage, as two of their top runners were
sidelined for the meet. But the rest of the squad stepped up and made
sure the Royals unbeaten streak lasted another week.

Ramstein runners took the top three spots and they placed four in the top 10.
Noah Sheppard, Kyle Southard and Kevin Edwards finished one, two and three respectively and Mike Parsons took sixth.

Kaiserslautern (girls) 28, Ramstein 36, ISB 78
The Kaiserslautern Lady Raiders got a strong showing from the Hrushka
sister who finished first and second, as they help of the Ramstein Lady
Royals during the cross country match Saturday.

Lorraine Tucker, third, had the best showing for Ramstein and Steph
Polzer, Susie Fluker and Luz Hammlett also finished in the top 10.

The DODDs European Golf Championships started Thursday and finish today.
The follwing golfers from Ramstein are participating in the event are:
Chris Hustead, Ryan Bachmann, Cody Moorhead, Kip Moorhead, Hank Mol,
Scott Eaton, Matt Wiederholt, Sean Bannister, Ben Meyer, Adrian Conrad
and Michael Haas.

Kaiserslautern golfers competing are Ben Antonik and Barbara Burriss.
