Platinum recording artist, Rapper Twista, will perform at the Ramstein Enlisted Club at 9 p.m. Tuesday. This is a free event and open to all ID card-holders.
Twista, born Carl Terrell Mitchell, has held the title as the fastest rapper in the world according to Guinness World Records in 1992, able to rap 11.2 syllables per second. His 2004 album, Kamikaze, went to number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 album chart after the success of his number-one Billboard Hot 100 single, “Slow Jamz.”
Twista grew up on the west side of Chicago, where he started rapping at the age of 12. Before his professional career, however, he had several other jobs including factory work, shoe sales, telemarketing, security guard and hairdresser.

Twista’s hit single, “Slow Jamz,” featured Kanye West and Jamie Foxx. He also recorded a song for the hit film Coach Carter with Faith Evans, called “Hope.”
In 2006, Twista and his 17-year-old nephew, Jesse Marvin Parks (a.k.a. Jmoney), made their solo single “Get Doe,” in which Twista was featured on the song “Hell No (Leave Home)” from Monica’s new album, The Makings of Me.
