Reduced-price lunches available

***image1***Army and Air Force Exchange Service school meals in Department of Defense Dependent Schools are normally $2.20 for grades 9 to 12 and $2.05 for grades Kindergarten to 8. The reduced price is $0.40.

Qualification determinations are based on total family size and income. Off-base residents have an amount equal to continental U.S. basic allowance for housing with dependents added to their income.

An E-5 with six years of service, two children and a non-working spouse who lives off base qualifies for reduced-price lunches. An E-7 with 12 years of service, three children and a non-working spouse who lives on base also qualifies for the reduced-price program. Most E-4s and below qualify for the free lunch program.
Applications are available at all KMC schools, the schools liaison office or the Women Infants and Children – Overseas office.
