KMC retirees are invited to Ramstein today for Retiree Appreciation Day activities.
Active duty servicemembers who are preparing to retire are also eligible to attend, as it will provide them with an idea of what services will be available to them after retirement.
Registration is 7:30 a.m. at the Ramstein Officers’ Club. Coffee and pastries are free to attendees. After opening remarks and a series of short briefings, representatives from a variety of agencies will be available until 11:30 a.m. to provide additional information and answer any questions.
Agencies are the Retiree Activities Office, Airman & Family Readiness Center, casualty/survivor benefits, Mortuary Affairs, Red Cross, USO, AAFES, DECA, tax advisors, legal, voting assistance, Air Force Sergeants’ Association, personnel and finance. In addition, the 435th Medical Group and Landstuhl Regional Medical Center will provide representatives from TRICARE, the Health and Wellness Center, public health, the dental clinic, the pharmacy and population health.
After meeting with the agencies, a bus will be available to transport those interested to the Ramstein Dining Facility for lunch. Upon returning to the officers’ club, retirees may take a tour of the U.S. Air Forces in Europe Enlisted Heritage Hall. The event is open to all retirees and their spouses from all service branches. For more information, contact retired Chief Master Sgts. Max Pfauntsch at 480-0206, or Dave Killman at 480-7563.
