The recently established Kaiserslautern Military Community Retiree Council will host an information meeting open to all retirees from 2 to 4 p.m. April 6 at the Shell Autohof Restaurant, located between Landstuhl and Ramstein Air Base.
This is the first open meeting since the KMC Retiree Council was chartered.
The purpose of the meeting is to acquaint members of the retiree community with the committees the council has set up to assist all retirees, their spouses and the widows living within the KMC footprint.
For those interested in having lunch before the official meeting, the council will gather at 12:45 p.m. at the Shell Auto Hof Restaurant.
After the introduction of the committees, there will be a spokesperson from the Defense Commissary Agency who will give information on the commissary and what DeCA is doing to make things easier for retirees. There will be time scheduled for the council to hear the concerns of attendees and resolve some issues on the spot.
