Rogues hope to dominate tourney

***image1***Fresh from the season opening tournament in September where they went undefeated, the RAF Ramstein Rogues Rugby Football Club will host its season Pokal tournament Saturday in Queidersbach.

The tournament brings in teams from Rheinland-Pfalz for a day of friendly full-contact rugby. Kick-off is 11 a.m.

The Rogues turned out a powerhouse performance at the September tourney when they went undefeated with 64 points scored and only five points given up. Now, they are heading into Saturday’s trophy-awarding event as the favorite.

The Rogues took second last year in the Rhineland-Pfalz competition.
The club welcomes all players of any skill level − training is provided.  The team practices at 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Pulaski field on Vogelweh.
