***image1***RTT Destinations Unlimited now offers its customers the use of a new online booking service, Airfare Power Shopper. This new service “puts the power in the hands of the shopper,” said Jeanie Veith, RTT group travel supervisor. It allows customers to search for special U.S.-dollar military airfares on RTT’s user-friendly Web site: www.RTTtravel.com/powershopper. From the convenience of home or anywhere customers have Internet access, they can check flight availability, cost and other useful information online.
RTT’s online booking service is an efficient means to track down airfares for those too busy to visit RTT’s offices.
“Our new consolidator, U.S. Discount Travel, and his fulfillment partners made it possible that we now have the latest tools and technology to serve our customers better than ever,” said Birgit Freyler, RTT Destinations Unlimited assistant manager.
During peak travel times, customers sometimes wait for long periods of time in the RTT offices. This new program will not require customers to visit RTT for flight concerns, but “we are still offering our personal service,” said Mrs. Freyler, for people who prefer an office visit.
Even when booking online, customers receive a personal phone call from an RTT agent to confirm the reservation.
Online reservations are not booked until the personal confirmation is received. This site is a secure site, and good news for those who worry about charging items online – credit card numbers are submitted on the secure Web site and actually charged in the RTT office.
“There is always that personal service behind it,” said Mrs. Veith.
RTT customers include KMC members and people from other countries including the U.S.
“Some people, previously stationed at Ramstein, still call us for travel arrangements because they feel confident with our service,” added Mrs. Veith.
Some of the reasons for this confidence are that “RTT is military owned and operated, and the RTT staff takes time to educate the customers on travel requirements and expectations,” added Mrs. Freyler.
The new program is easy to use and offers a wealth of information, and not just for stateside flights. Want to know what airlines fly to Athens? How long the flight is? Or what meals will be served? Find out all this in one location in addition to the price, times and availability. With the convenience of online booking and RTT’s personal service, travelers have more flexibility than before.
RTT’s online booking idea has been in the works for some time.
“We have to be competitive and respond to our customers’ needs,” said Mrs. Freyler.
By continually responding to customer needs, this lead to RTT being recognized in 2002 as the Best in the Air Force for travel providers.
RTT’s Web site provides users with complete details and booking conditions to help clear up any questions.
For other questions about the Web site, tours or any travel plans, call or stop by one of the RTT offices at Ramstein, Sembach or Vogelweh.
