women’s history
Eleni Nasiotis, third grader in Annie Shay Lester’s class at Landstuhl Elementary and Middle School, is one of several girls who performed at  the Women’s Health Program, hosted by Landstuhl Regional Medical  Center March 29. The theme,  “Builders of Communities and Dreams,” incorporated  school-aged girls.

Girls came dressed as Cleopatra, Amelia Earhart and Eleanor Roosevelt, giving speeches and presentations.

Keynote speaker Barbara Ferg-Carter, Ramstein American High School principal, gave a moving speech attributing her success in life to her grandmother, an artist, and her mother.

“I know my kids loved it,” Ms. Lester said about the girls being included in the celebration. “You could see it on their faces.”
