Bus area closed
The bus marshalling area for Landstuhl Elementary/Middle School on 11th Street is closed to traffic from 2:45 to 3:10 p.m. daily. Remember, it is the law not to pass school buses while loading and unloading children.
Congratulations to Zack Hood
Ramstein Intermediate School fourth-grader Zack Hood has won the regional European Fine Arts Contest. His artwork is on display at the Boys & Girls Club of American Fine Arts Exhibit. Zack’s artwork has been sent to Atlanta, Ga., for the national exhibit.
Cultural presentation
There will be a cultural presentation May 22 in the Kaiserslautern High School auditorium. The presentation begins at 8:30 a.m. for sixth-graders, 9:45 a.m. for seventh-graders,
12:30 p.m. for eighth-graders and 6 p.m. for the general public, parents and guests.

KMS prom fundraiser
A fundraiser to help raise money for the Kaiserslautern Middle School eighth-grade dinner and prom will be held from noon to
6 p.m. Sunday at the Vogelweh skating rink. The theme for the night is “Memories at KMS.” The fundraiser is open to the whole community.
Teacher certification examination
U.S. Army Garrison Kaiserslautern hosts the PRAXIS Teacher Certification Examination at 8 a.m. July 29 at the garrison’s education

VES still taking registrations
Vogelweh Elementary School is still taking registrations for the 2009-2010 school year. Office hours are 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday in Room 116. Early registration enables the school to plan staffing for the next year. Be sure to bring a proof of residence, ID card, shot records and orders or extensions.
