The Boy Scouts of America and Girls Scouts of the USA will be conducting a Scout Expo Sept. 11 at the Ramstein KMCC-AAFES Main Exchange Courtyard.
The Scouting Expo activities will include informational demonstrations on Scouting, as well as interactive games and challenges.
There will be an opportunity to meet with Scouts and leaders, play games, eat treats and time to get acquainted with other boys, girls and parents joining the Scouting program.
All families and youth from 6 to 21 years old will be presented. Boy Scouting packs, troops and crews, as well as Girl Scout neighborhood troops of Daisies, Brownies, Cadets, Juniors and Seniors, will be demonstrating the latest techniques in European camping, high adventure and skills.
Tiger Cubs is for first grade boys, and it focuses on introducing boys to Scouting and strengthening family relationships. Each boy and parent or other adult partner work together on activities and projects, meeting twice a month with the rest of the den of four to eight adult/boy pairs, and once a month with the Cub Scout Pack.
Cub Scouts provides fun with a purpose for boys in second through fifth grade.
Boys meet weekly in dens and monthly with the entire pack to share experiences and activities, developing individual skills and the ability to be part of a team.
Boy Scouts is for sixth-grade boys through 18 years old and is a program that offers effective character, citizenship and personal fitness training for youth.
Venturing is for both young men and young women (coed) ages 14 through 21 and it focuses on even more challenging high adventure activities.
A program of exciting and meaningful activities that helps youth pursue their special interests, grow, develop leadership skills, and become good citizens.
Girl Scouts Overseas-North Atlantic serves girls who want to enjoy the same excitement, fun and adventures in Girl Scouting as their stateside Girl Scout sisters.
Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. In every part of the globe, Girl Scouts are making new friends, learning about other cultures, building community and having fun.
