Service Culture Spotlight: Daniel Scherer

U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz highlights Daniel Scherer for Service Culture Spotlight!

Originally from Altenkirchen, Germany, Daniel serves as the Assistant Chief of Operations for USAG Rheinland-Pfalz’s Directorate of Emergency Services.

Daniel’s primary duties include managing three fire stations and supervising 63 firefighters. He also serves as the incident commander during fire and emergency service incidents. Daniel manages a vehicle program that consists of 9 primary responding apparatus. He also manages the certification program and has processed 225 TDY orders for firefighter attendance at the Ansbach for various mandated certifications courses.

Daniel has been working for USAG Rheinland-Pfalz for 5 years and has 23 years of civil service experience.
