The 435th Services Fitness Center staff hosted the 3rd Annual Ramstein Amazing Race Aug. 26. Proper strategy and timing proved valuable for winners Ravi Balaram, Mark Lekarczyk and Katie Augsburger (left). They finished in a time of 1 hour, 32 minutes, accumulating 178 points. Several teams were close behind, with the second place team totaling 173 points.
Overall, 18 three-person teams participated in the two-hour event on a beautiful Saturday morning.
The Amazing Race required teams to trek on foot over most of the base without the aid of vehicles, bicycles, or rollerblades. Assistance from computers, cell phones, or bystanders was prohibited. (Courtesy of Tim Cline, Fitness Center Director)
