Golf tournament
The 2015 LRMC Holiday Ball Committee is hosting a Father’s Day golf tournament Monday at Woodlawn Golf Course on Ramstein. Registration opens at 10 a.m.; shotgun start at noon. The tournament will be a four-man scramble with prizes for the winning team, longest drive, closest to the pin and a putting contest. Golf cart, meals, and open driving range included. Doggie Dash 5K run/walk
The 3rd annual Doggie Dash 5k run/walk takes place on June 27. This event features: a Military Working Dog demonstration; a 5k fun run/walk for pets and their owners; prizes for the best dog costume; best dog trick; best owner and pet look-a-like contest; dog obedience and agility demonstration; and a vaccine clinic for preregistered dogs. Open to ID cardholders of all ages. Cost: $5 (additional fees for vaccines). Registration for the run will be done on-site from 8 to 9:15 a.m. at the Special Events Center, Rhine Ordnance Barracks, Bldg. 237. Clinic and practicum tournament
Are you interested in becoming a certified flag football official? Installation Management Command-Europe is hosting a free officials’ clinic from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 7 to 10 daily at the IMCOM-E Headquarters, Sembach Kaserne, Bldg. 111, Room 153. The clinic is open to ID cardholders, ages 18 and older. A practicum tournament will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 11 on KAD field near Daenner Kaserne. 5K Fun run/walk
4th of July 5K Fun Run/Walk, 9 a.m. Categories are male, female and youth under 18 years of age. Awards will be presented to the top three per category. Run will begin at Hall of Champions Fitness Center, Smith Bks., Bldg. 8105, Baumholder.
White water rafting in Austria
Enjoy the thrill of white water rafting and canyoning on this adventure-filled Outdoor Recreation trip to Austria July 3 to 6. Challenge yourself by rafting on the Salzach River, a 2-hour course, or head for the heights on a canyoning adventure. The price is $375 per person with the adventure package and $285 per person without, youth prices available upon request. Price includes round-trip bus transportation, 3 nights in a hotel with breakfast and dinner, 1 day of white water rafting, 1 day of canyoning, and equipment rental.
