U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 86th Logistics Readiness Squadron Individual Protective Equipment Element stand in front of warehouse storage containers at Ramstein Air Base, Aug. 23. The Airmen are responsible for maintaining and providing protective equipment to more than 10,000 personnel across Ramstein AB. The equipment is part of safety and protection measures from chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive materials.
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Bryan Ortiz-Lopez, 86th Logistics Readiness Squadron individual protective equipment journeyman, organizes equipment at Ramstein Air Base, Aug. 2. The 86th LRS is responsible for maintaining 450,000 pieces of protective equipment for deployment and training purposes.
U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Jemuel Elias, 86th Logistics Readiness Squadron individual protective equipment journeyman, and Airman 1st Class Daniel Martinez, 86th LRS IPE journeyman, operate a material handling forklift at Ramstein Air Base, Aug. 2. IPE Airmen at Ramstein AB manage more than $300,000 in storage equipment and store more than 450,000 pieces of readiness equipment such as helmets, canteens and vests.
