Everyone can help give back to the Kaiserslautern Military Community by volunteering at the Ramstein Bazaar. The Ramstein Bazaar is not only the world’s largest military bazaar, it is also an amazing fundraising event. Each year, proceeds from the Ramstein Bazaar are distributed throughout the community. Last year’s Bazaar raised more than $290,000 to benefit schools, scouts, community organizations and more!
This year’s Bazaar will be held Sept. 13 through Sept. 16. More than 130 vendors from across the globe will be selling furniture, wine, and everything in between. Volunteers are needed to make this incredible shopping and fundraising event a success. There are a variety of areas in which to volunteer including hospitality, finance, hangar, and much more. All on-site volunteers need to be at least 16 years old and DOD ID card holders, but anyone who wants to help is welcome to contribute baked goods and fresh fruit. As a volunteer, you won’t just be giving back to your community; you’ll also enjoy some perks! All volunteers who work a shift or combination of shifts totaling four or more hours will be invited to attend Red Carpet Shopping, an exclusive event that takes place on Sept. 12. That evening participants will have the opportunity to shop the Bazaar’s treasures before it is open to the public.
