With three squadrons, 45 separate Air Force Specialty Codes, 40 Building Partnership Capacity missions a year and being ready within a moment’s notice to forward deploy, the 435th Contingency Response Group has an uncommon mission in the Air Force.

The 435th Con-tingency Response Group conducted a group-level indoctrination training event Feb. 24 to 28. Managed by the 435th Air Mobility Squadron, the event was held to prepare service members to provide mission support to U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa areas of responsibility.

The squadron rucks every Friday morning, year-round, but this was the first time family members accompanied the Airmen. Family members were able to experience what the 435th CRG endures to ensure readiness. Air Force fitness is essential to mission readiness, and this march helps Airmen get physically prepared for a deployed environment.
