Beginning in late June, the special victims’ counsel started offering services to children, dependents and family members who are victims of sexual assault cases.

The 86th Airlift Wing hosted Resiliency Day, allowing Department of Defense members and civilians in the KMC to come together, take some time away from their offices and work as a team June 19.

No two military careers are identical. Everyone has different experiences that make their path unique. Though they’re all different, each one begins the same way.

The events of Operation Overlord, the invasion of Normandy, 70 years ago hold a special place in the hearts of many people, especially those who experienced it for themselves or knew someone who lived through it. Remembering D-Day is as important to them as it is for those of us wearing the uniform today.

Brig. Gen. Patrick X. Mordente, 86th Airlift Wing commander, and Denis Lebarbier, mayor of Coigny, France, stood together June 7 to unveil a memorial plaque dedicated to the courage and fortitude of the veterans of the 358th Fighter Group who participated in D-Day operations 70 years ago.

Two veteran pilots who were part of the D-Day invasion over Normandy, France, spoke to a packed crowd of service members, dependents and retirees Monday on Ramstein.
