Brig. Gen. Richard G. Moore, Jr., 86th Airlift Wing commander, signs a Domestic Violence Awareness Month proclamation Oct. 3 on Ramstein. The proclamation states that domestic violence is a crime that has no place in the Air Force, and that October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

During calendar year 2015, there were over seven thousand incidents that met criteria for domestic violence within the Air Force. In U.S. Air Forces in Europe, over seven hundred cases met criteria for domestic violence during that same time period.
