Kaiserslautern High School students rehearse for the high-energy, family-friendly musical “Bye Bye Birdie” Nov. 5 at the KHS Auditorium. The musical is about a small town in 1950s America that gets swept up in rock star Conrad Birdie’s, “Elvis,” final concert before he gets drafted into the Army. The award-winning score includes songs such as “Put on a Happy Face” and “Kids-What’s the Matter with Kids these Days.” Shows will be at 7 p.m. today and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are available at the door and cost $8 for adults, $5 for children and $20 for a family of four. For more information, visit the KHS Bye Bye Birdie Info Facebook page.

Not many students know what career path they wish to follow. Last month in Oberwesel, Germany, nine students from Kaiserslautern High School joined nearly 100 students from across the Department of Defense Education Activity at an event called STEMposium.
