ERMC notifies beneficiaries affected by PSA screening error

Europe Regional Medical Command is notifying beneficiaries who received an incorrect prostate cancer screening blood test between August 2009 and May 2012 at military medical treatment facilities in Germany, Italy, Belgium, Kosovo and U.S. Central Command that are supported by the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center laboratory.

During 2012, no one died or suffered a permanent disability, there were no occupational illnesses or serious cases of property damage, and the number of injuries that did occur dropped from 94 to 76 compared with the previous year.

LRMC team earns award in grueling, four-day march

Since November 2012, a small team of dedicated Soldiers have been crawling out of bed in the early hours two to three times a week to march with each other at times over 25 miles. This sacrifice was in preparation for one of the most arduous and intensely celebrated annual events of modern times — the International Four Days Marches Nijmegen.

Aeromedical evac tests new device for patient records

A new “my Wi-Fi” hot spot device was tested by aeromedical evacuation crewmembers July 19. “My Wi-Fi” is a secure, off-the-shelf device that acts as a hot spot and allows aeromedical evacuation crewmembers to send patient records to that person’s next location before they arrive.
