Airmen from different nations dine at the International Dining Facility at Headquarters Allied Air Command Aug. 13 on Ramstein. Until recently, an escort was required along with several days of processing time to dine at the facility. The change came after a desire was expressed to offer a new dining facility and a multinational experience.

A Greek, an American, a German and their dependents walked up to the bar — a salad bar. The NATO compound International Dining Facility recently opened its doors to all personnel with access to Ramstein Aug. 6, offering vegetables, drinks and other food.

Breedlove urges NATO to tap NCO corps capabilities

As new challenges and budget realities loom, the officer who serves as NATO’s supreme allied commander for Europe and commander of U.S. European Command has challenged those in his charge to tap the “vast reservoir of untapped potential” within the noncommissioned officer corps.
