Maj. Gen. Duane A. Gamble (left) and Command Sgt. Maj. Rodney J. Rhoades, 21st TSC command team, work as a culinary duo to feed their Soldiers and family members during a Thanksgiving feast held Nov. 26 at the Clock Tower Cafe on Kleber Kaserne. The commanding general and senior enlisted leader pulled shifts on the serving line before sharing a Thanksgiving meal with the U.S. ambassador to Germany, their wives and families. Approximately 1,100 Soldiers, civilians and family members shared their Thanksgiving at the 21st TSC-operated Kleber Kaserne and Rhine Ordnance Barracks facilities in Kaiserslautern.

Base leadership volunteered to serve a Thanksgiving meal to Airmen and their families as a way to boost morale and provide a low-cost option. Turkey, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, two types of gravy, green beans and corn were some of the Thanksgiving items served as part of this Thanksgiving holiday tradition.
