Residents in the villages of the Kaiserslautern County and in the city of Kaiserslautern each have specific dates for the pickup of waste. They should have received booklets and schedules listing pickup dates and tips for trash disposal in January.

KMC housing collection changes

Beginning June 1, the way trash gets picked up for residents in the Ramstein, Vogelweh and Landstuhl townhouse-style units will change to become more like off-base pickups by switching to waste containers for sorting, recycling and handling household trash.

An example of unacceptable disposal of bulk trash. Keep the bin platforms free and clear of any boxes, large items and excess garbage bags. Items on the platforms prevent the contractor from being able to access the bins to empty them. There are recycling centers located on Ramstein and Vogelweh that are available to on-base residents when the bins are full.
