New hours in Baumholder legal office
The Baumholder Client Services (Legal Assistance and Claims) has new operating hours. Mon, Tue and Wed, 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m.; Thu closed; Fri, 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m. For more information, call 531-2445.
UTAP is moving
The Utility Tax Avoidance Program is moving from Rhine Ordnance Barracks to Kleber Kaserne. Starting Aug. 1 UTAP can be found on Kleber Kaserne, Bldg. 3245, Room 110. Hours of operation will be Mon to Fri from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, contact UTAP 541-9086/9091; 541-9086/9091.
East Gate construction
Until mid-August, commercial trucks and/or buses will NOT be authorized to enter or exit the East Gate due to ongoing construction.
East Gate operating hours
Until Aug. 23, 6 to 8 a.m., Mon to Fri, the East Gate will operate with two inbound lanes only. No outbound lanes. The LVIS gate will operate during normal working hours, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mon to Fri, except German holidays.
Sewage construction
Until mid-August Kaiserslautern’s Auf dem Sess, Von-Braun-Strasse and Ottostrasse will undergo sewage construction. Ottostrasse and Auf dem Sess will be closed off for traffic completely, Von-Braun-Strasse will close one side to traffic. Pedestrians are not affected by the construction measures.
Kaiserslautern drainage construction — road closures
Until mid-September, a new rainwater drainage will be built in Parkstrasse and Tulpenstrasse by the Kaiserslautern urban drainage system. During the first phase, Parkstrasse will be completely closed in the first two weeks of construction. During the second phase, Tulpenstrasse will be completely closed in sections. Pedestrians are not affected by these measures. Residents will also be informed.
Kapaun Gate closure
From now until August 23, the Kapaun Gate 1 (access to B270) will be closed. During this time, no in-/outbound lanes will be open. The closure is required for infrastructure upgrades and the installation of a barrier system.
