LRMC information
As you may have heard, due to rising numbers of COVID-19 infections, Germany has revised the Infection Protection Act, which is applicable to U.S. Forces in Germany in accordance with Article 54 of the NATO-SOFA Supplementary Agreement. In the revision, workplace access is restricted to vaccinated, recovered or tested employees.
In light of the revised act, we want to remind our communities that testing capabilities at military treatment facilities are reserved for official purposes and individuals who present medical symptoms.
Unit Leaders who have questions regarding the revised act should reference Force Health Protection Guidance (Supplement 23) which established COVID-19 screening testing for unvaccinated individuals.

ATTN: Those packing up and leaving the KMC
Many members wait too long to begin the household goods moving process, thereby causing additional stress and delays. The 86th Logistics Readiness Squadron Personal Property Office advises movers to call them three weeks before moving to begin the booking process.
RAO needs steadfast volunteers
Your Retiree Activities Office has relocated to Building 2118, Room 138, on Ramstein Air Base. This was the first of many steps to make the RAO function better for the entire community. The RAO exists to support, unite, and enhance the lives of retired military and DOD civilians, veterans, family members, and active duty in our community through positive volunteerism. All retirees (regardless of service affiliation), surviving spouses, separated veterans, and service members preparing to retire can receive assistance and guidance from the RAO on numerous topics and concerns.
For those readying to retire and desiring to stay in Germany, the RAO provides a “Retire in Germany” briefing. The RAO and associated programs are administered by RAO staff members as set forth in AFI 36-3106 and have the full support of the 86th Airlift Wing Commander.
Staff members are appointed by the Director and perform administrative duties in the RAO. The office, led by just 3 volunteers, is now open Tue-Thu, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. More steadfast volunteers are needed; the goal is to open the doors every business day and serve the largest retired community outside the United States. Will you consider spending a few hours a week continuing to serve? If so, please send an email to: 86aw.rao@us.af.mil and let them know.
